If you own a business, are starting a business or thinking of starting a business, I am sure you are very interested in ensuring that your business will succeed.
There are so many techniques taught today with each of them claiming to be “the key to the golden goose”. If you try to listen to them all, your head will spin.
So let’s get back to the basics!
There ARE two very essential keys that will be sure to put you on the road to success, and these keys actually have nothing to do with techniques.
They are all about your FOCUS.
What is your main focus in your business?
If you are building a business just to make money, then there is a high possibility you may fail. What, you might be thinking? I thought building a business WAS all about making money.
Real business is all about changing people’s lives.
Recently I made a life-changing decision. I flew over to West Palm Beach in Florida to attend John Di Lemme’s MLM Bootcamp.
At this event I discovered just how natural selling really can be (and should be). Of course opening and closing a sales presentation is the life blood of any business.
I confirmed that you do not have to be a high pressure sales person to succeed in business. All you have to do is be yourself, know WHY you are doing what you do and build relationships.
It was so good to find a group of people who’s main goal in life is to make a difference in people’s lives.
And that’s not all! I was thrilled to discover that John Di Lemme is a man of high integrity who really does live all he teaches!
Key #1: Focus on WHY you are building a business (or why you are involved in a sales team).
- If your focus is on earning money, you will most likely fail.
- If your focus is on changing people’s lives you are on the road that leads to success.
You were born with a purpose, and this purpose involves making a difference in this world, starting with YOUR world. Certainly you can change a life with your understanding, moral support and encouragement.
However there are so many desperate needs in your’s and my community that need funds to be able to solve. It does take money to change many lives.
Key #2: Focus on making a difference in people’s lives.
That fact is if you are building a business to make a difference in the lives of your family, friends, community and world you are on your way to success. (Yes we have already established this, but it is so important it bears repeating).
How can this help with opening and closing sales, you may ask?
It all has to do with the atmosphere your thoughts create. When you focus on earning money, the atmosphere you create is one of greed and that will push people away.
When you focus on your desire to help and support others and make a difference in this world, the atmosphere you create by your thoughts (your focus) is much more likely to attract buyers and cause them to want to buy from YOU.
